Privacy Policy

LiftOn ("we", "our", or "us") is built and maintained by P. Kore. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using LiftOn, you agree to this policy.

Short version: We collect only what's needed to power your workouts and AI coaching. We never sell your data. Health data stays on your device.

1. Data We Collect

Account & Profile Data

Name, email address (via Google Sign-In or email/password)
Fitness profile: goal, fitness level, body weight, gender, activity level
App settings: training days per week, split style, travel mode preference

Workout Data

Weekly workout plans (exercises, sets, reps, weights)
Completed workout logs and session history
Streak and total workout counts
Mood and daily readiness ratings

Health Data (Android Health Connect)

Daily step count — used to adjust recovery scores
Sleep duration — used to adjust recovery recommendations
This data is read-only from Health Connect and is never uploaded to our servers
Health data is processed locally on your device only

Health Data (Apple HealthKit — iOS)

With your explicit permission, LiftOn reads the following from Apple Health: steps, distance walked or run, active energy burned, exercise time, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (SDNN and RMSSD), and sleep (in bed, asleep, and sleep sessions)
This data is used only to calculate recovery scores, readiness levels and training adjustments shown to you inside the app
LiftOn also writes completed workouts and fitness data back to Apple Health so your progress stays synchronised with other apps you use
HealthKit data is processed on your device only and is never uploaded to our servers, never included in AI prompts, and never sold, shared or used for advertising
You may grant or revoke each permission at any time in the iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health screen. Revoking access does not delete workouts you have already logged in LiftOn

AI Interaction Data

Prompts sent to our AI coach (workout context, recovery status, goals)
AI-generated plans and responses displayed in-app
No personally identifiable information is included in AI prompts

2. How We Use Your Data

Generate personalised AI workout and diet plans
Calculate muscle recovery scores and readiness levels
Detect plateaus, deload needs, and adaptive training adjustments
Deliver daily AI coaching briefs and session insights
Sync your plan and history across devices via your account
Send optional push notifications (workout reminders, comeback alerts)

3. Data Storage & Security

Your account and workout data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, protected by Firebase Authentication. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Workout history and AI plan cache is also stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. Health Connect data never leaves your device.

4. Third-Party Services

LiftOn uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database, crash reporting
Google Gemini API — AI workout and diet plan generation (via our secure backend; your personal data is not sent to Gemini)
Google AdMob — display ads for free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers as per Google's privacy policy
Android Health Connect — passive step and sleep data, read-only, on-device only
Google Play Billing — subscription payment processing

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their data practices.

5. Health Connect Data — Detailed Declaration

LiftOn accesses Steps and Sleep data from Android Health Connect solely to improve recovery recommendations shown inside the app. This data is processed locally on your device, is never uploaded to our servers, and is never shared with any third party. You can revoke Health Connect permissions at any time in Android Settings → Health Connect → App permissions.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

LiftOn offers a premium subscription (LiftOn Pro) processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card information. Subscription management (cancel, upgrade, restore) is handled through your Google Play account.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and workout data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request.

8. Children's Privacy

LiftOn is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Your Rights

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction: Update inaccurate profile information in-app or via email
Deletion: Request complete account and data deletion
Opt-out: Disable push notifications in device settings at any time
Health permissions: Revoke Health Connect access in Android Settings

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use of LiftOn after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
